Banhammer Update!
Posted: 2:07 pm by Jag - Bungie
The Bungie 'Banhammer' has been as busy as ever, with over 2,500 people being banned in the last 24 hours. Although people have still been modding after the AU # 4, it has decreased somewhat.

Ironically, there has been a small side effect to a small amount of people modding. Some softmod programs unintentionally damaged the 'Xbox Live Downloader' program, meaning that the softmodders cannot download the update, thus meaning they cannot play on Xbox Live. Looks like things are taking care of themselves... (Pun intended!)

Auto-Update #4 Released!
Posted: 7:07 pm by Jag - Halo 2
The fourth Halo 2 Auto-Update (also known as 'The AU' for short) was released this morning. It fixed several minor bugs like the Relic 'Teleporter Glitch', and improved Bungie's modding detection system, meaning modding will be severly limited in it's use.

The AU also detects Action Replay saves, and if someone is in possession of modified saves and gametypes, they will be banned from matchamaking on Xbox Live - forever!. So if you haven't logged into Xbox Live yet (you cannot play unless you have downloaded it), and if you are in possession of any modded content - either softmods, or hexed gametypes, get rid of them!

Autoupdate - Tomorrow!
Posted: 6:07 pm by Wolfy - Halo 2
There's a new article at Bungie.net explaining the new autoupdate (dubbed 4.0) and its full glory. Cheaters have been warned in full - don't sign onto Xbox Live or you will be permanantly banned from matchmaking. They are very serious about this folks.

WWU - July 16th
Posted: 2:07 pm by Wolfy - Weekly Whats Update
Another week of the Anti-Cheat guide, er I mean Weekly Whats Update has been posted on Bungie.net. Good stuff, and not so interesting stuff. Sorry if I sound a little board about this, but I really can't stress how tired I am of modders/hackers/etc. of the like on Xbox Live (and elsewhere coincidentally). Oh, but there is something cool this week - a Halo chess board? Definately a collectors item, but really? -No one plays chess anymore!

Playlist Updates
Posted: 3:07 pm by Wolfy - Halo 2
If you haven't noticed by now, Bungie has reset stats for Team Preview allowing the inclusion of the new released maps. On top of that, they added a new playlist - Rumble Preview which is just like Rumble Pit only on the new maps in rotation. Happy fragging!
BBC at Video Games Live
Posted: 3:07 pm by Wolfy - Halo
The BBC has a nice write up of the first of many Video Games Live concerts, where music from video games is featured on a live stage. There are some audio clips, including Halo along with Mario and Tomb Raider available to download while you read. Its worth a check.

Forum Archives
Posted: 8:07 pm by Wolfy - Site News
The forums are back... sort of. We've made it an archive. It is pretty slimmed down to the bone, but hey it is just there to continue to serve as good content for those that missed out. As far as having a usable forum... well that comes tomorrow. Stay tuned!
