Added Content!
Posted: 12:02 pm by Wolfy -
Our lazy bums have sorta lifted for a minute there. We have re-released our original Halo content (Weapons, characters, vehicles sections) for all of you to... re-read I guess . Enjoy! Don't be surprised if you see some more changes throughout the coarse of this week, I'm on Spring break!

Have TeamSpeak?
Sector 7 has been developing a TeamSpeak server for everyone to talk while they play their games! Thanks to Time2Die for serving the TeamSpeak server himself, and helping set up the stats (webpost).

So what are you waiting for? Go voice Yo Self!
If you don't have teamspeak, go download it!

Comics mates... the comics!
Firelightning has added a new one of his comics, check it out! Over at Halo Babies, they continue their comic's plot by releasing a... well a new comic .

Win a date with One One Se7en! (HBO)
A new One One Se7en contest titled "Win a Date with One One Se7en" has been created over at HBO. It uses BOLL's Automagic 117 strip creation script, and the prize is really cool -- a Limited Edition Halo 2 calendar! So go submit your strips!

Murdering rabits for your convenience!
Posted: 2:49 pm by Bongo -
Alas, Easter is nearly upon us, and what do we have to celebrate the season? Potpourri? Eaten. Halo 2? *sigh* I guess a dancing MC will have to suffice. While the prospect of a dancing Master Chief may seem inviting, the short film is actually the result of Gutupio's curiosity with green-screen effects. The video, entitled Halo 2: DDR Remix is now up for download, so in the spirit of the season, get that jiggy on!

Now that that nonsense is out of the way, a number of Halo mods have been released today, most of which bring players the opportunity to play their favorite single player maps...online! The mod, featuring Keyes and Two Betrayals (as well as much more), is available here for download.

Happy Easter!

A bit more news today.

E3 Attendants List
IGN posted their list of E3 2004 attendants - and Microsoft lists Halo 2 as a definate FoShow. I wonder what Bungie will show... :D

W00T! She's LIVE!
HaloTV goes LIVE! Yeah! This is staying on my WinAmp for a while.
If you don't know what HaloTV is, or you simply forgot, it's essentially a channel in WinAmp that broadcasts Halo movies. Only. And in some cases, maybe live content from...somewhere.
The website should give you more information, such as the program guide, and how to get it.

The mods continue at GT
Halo GT has another video of mods...and it's all on the Xbox. I personally like the Killtacular gun, and so does Louis Wu at HBO...hmmm. It's the latest download.

...How come none of us have been spotlighted?
Well, TJy has done some more Spotlights that are related to Halo. They interview a guy or two at FrO. Very, very strange. Check it out!

GASP
CPL is disappointed with the team signups for the Halo Tourney this summer. Sadly, they're setting a deadline of April 26th, and if 32 people don't sign up by that time, they're cutting the prize money in half. If you have nothing to do, and want to win an AWESOME tournament, sign up, so we can be excited about something this summer. More information is on the website.

I think they are doing it on purpose.
New Mailbag at BGH! Those DaotW are getting stupider. SUXXORZ TEH BOXXORZ!

No more movies at Rampancy!
Well, not ALL of them are taken off...but some of the popular old ones are, due to bandwidth.
Taken off:

  • Warthog Jump
  • Warthog Revisited
  • We Grew Up Fast
  • Halo 2 E3 Realtime Demo (hires)

Check out the story here.

Halo 2 at E3?
Do you think Halo 2 will be displayed at E3 this year? Go Vote!

News SINCE Saturday.
Posted: 7:15 am by Funkmon -
The news seems to be slowing down, as of late...and there really isn't much HALO news at all.

Gasp. Another Halo site
They seem to be popping up all over the place. This one is different however. It's Ducain's own website, the guy in the news recently for stunts and such. Want to get a friend to cross the threshold and get Halo? Get him to watch those vids. Check it out here.

Subzero Rivalries-new comic
I love this comic. Can't wait till Spring Break? Read this and maybe you'll...no...nevermind.

UT2K4 Blood Gulch map completed!
The Blood Gulch map for UT2K4 mentioned recently and has been completed. Very cool. There's some more info, pictures, and download links here.

Didn't I just tell you to stop making up animals?!
Red Vs. Blue posted some more crap for sponsers. It's essentially Sarge audio never found in a movie. And, if you're as big a fan as I am...then you'll love it. They're putting up so much now I can't keep track! Grrr...

MPO almost up
In a recent news post, Silverbrin says that the music waiting in the temp folder will get put up as soon as the new motherboard is installed.

This time, Frankie brings the update to BG:H (wonder if that article did anything...). Its a bit on the short side, but its equally cool. Go read!

Spring Championship 2004
The dates for the next AGP event are set for April 24 - 25, 2004 at the Washington DC Convention Center. This will be the fourth event held by the AGP, the first to be done outside of Nashville, TN. Find all the details here.

Just a side note - one of our [Lukrus and Wolfy] friends here in New Jersey and his Halo team (You know who you are) have been invited to participate in this event. We wish him and the team good luck on those two days, and hope he gets there safely along with all of the other teams currently going.

Not back from Africa
Posted: 4:59 pm by Wolfy -
Yes, Funkmon decided to post an odd... and not even funny April Fools fart in yesterdays news. But its over now... sadly however Bongo actually DID get himself a trip to Africa, and he has contacted me from a more "civilized" African tribe:

Bongo wrote:
Hello, [Wolfy]! I am thrilled to tell you that I am REALLY in Africa for this years spring break. I have found an awesome tribal town that has internet (its extremely slow, but it works). I also have spoken to a tour guide that actually knows of a town named Mombasa! I will return in a week or so. Keep Sector 7 good!

Sencerely, [Bongo]
P.S. Happy April Fools day!

The results...
Mentioned yesterday, Gamespy held their Title Fight - Halo -vs- Half-Life. Halo was in a MAJOR lead (had 20,000+ votes) before Gamespy decided that this wasn't right and changed the rules. Now you must be a registered user to Gamespy in order to participate. The scores were reset, and the 24 hour voting process is over. Half-Life won against Halo with a 3,000 vote lead. As Louis Wu of HBO states, "Not unexpected... but disappointing." Oh well.

New Playlists Up!
Posted: 5:12 pm by Jag - Halo 2
The new playlists for Halo 2 have been up for a while if you've missed them! And they're a blast!

Team Action Sack: This playlist is what you should be playing if you're looking for a chaotic and unpredictable experience! Some games include Rocket CTF, or SWAT Fiesta, Ninja Assault - and much more! These games were submitted by the fans - I submitted Invisaball a while ago, and now you can play it in Matchmaking! Bungie does listen to the fans!

Rumble Armory: This is also an action-packed playlist, abiet less insane! This playlist pits you against up to 7 other people, with games that feature a single weapon set - games include Brutes, Swords, Sentinal Beams, and other similar games! Give it a try!

6 vs 6 Battle: This is basically something to fit between Team Skirmish and Big Team - 6 vs 6 battles using a mixture of the Big Team playlist and Team Skirmish.

Additional Changes: The Head to Head and Major Clanmatch playlists are gone - forever... Minor Clanmatch has been renamed 'Clanmatch' and now supports up to 5 people, but your Minor Clanmatch ranks remain intact. Team Snipers is now ranked - and your 'invisible' rank is now visible! If you played a little, you may be a 5 or 6, but some people are in the upper 20's! Big Team now supports only 7 or 8 players per team, to make way for 6 vs 6 Battle.

...a pretty significant update, to say the least.

Team ActionSack?
Posted: 3:12 pm by Jag - Weekly Whats Update
Bungie finally posted another WWU - and this one contains some very, very important information regarding the new playlists:

Quote:
~Major Clanmatch and Head to Head have been removed.

~Minor Clanmatch has received a change in configuration. It will now be called Clanmatch and will allow for team of 4-5 clan members each. Your Minor Clanmatch ranks will persist to the new Clanmatch playlist.

~Two new unranked playlists have been added, Rumble Armory and Team ActionSack.

~6v6 Team Battle has been added as a ranked playlist featuring team sizes of 5-6 players each.

~Big Team Battle now supports only larger team sizes of 7-8 players each.

~Team Snipers is now a ranked playlist and has a total of 15 maps. Your hidden rank will now be displayed.

~WE DID NOT WIPE ANY STATS, STOP LISTENING TO RUMORS! CALM DOWN!

Important information indeed! The WWU also contains a little bit of an FAQ on how to change your 360 theme, and some stuff about the Halo Movie... Read it here!
