Halo 3: Combat... well something

What we know...

Since Halo 3 hasn't officially been announced and no information has been given whether or not this game will every be made, it's okay to dream, right? The following is really just insite to the game, updates, tidbits, and more or less a small archive leading up to what could possibly be another great Bungie experience.

May 23, 2005 Bill Gates is cought in the month's issue of TIME Magazine [online version]:

Note to the hard-core faithful: the next version of Halo will not, repeat not, be ready in time for the launch of Xbox 360. It will be part of the all-important second wave next spring. "It's perfect," Gates says, radiant with bloodlust. "The day Sony launches [the new PlayStation], and they walk right into Halo 3."
Well, not many people can go against the big-man's word so its best we believe him for the time being. Exactly when Sony's PS3 will be released is beyond us, but again its only some insite as to the possibility that Bungie is cooking a nice one.

Fuel for the Fire

Although Bungie hasn't said anything on what they are currently working on, they sure seem to be needing a lot of extra help. On June 30th, Bungie announced a lot of new jobs including Mission and Multiplayer designers. So, we can infer from this that their next game will be multiplayer online and have missions. Not too much news, but check out the job page on Bungie.net for some more information on their openings. It seems like a big project needing so many new employees this soon after its last game.

Setting a Precedent

Halo 3 isn't even out yet. But, for some strange reason it appeared as the #1 most popular upcoming game on GameSpot. Interesting, the game hasn't even been announced, nothing, but it was already the most anticipated according to GameSpot... is this just the beginning of the storm?
